You may come across a Largo listed as a Datsun; Datsun became Nissan in 1986 although Nissan took control of it in 1933. You may not be able to get a UK workshop manual but theres plenty of help on the internet via Largo websites and forums. |

Nissan Largo's For Sale
The Nissan Largo was a family car, an MPV with uncommon styling and choice of manual or automatic transmission. The most popular version in the UK was the rear wheel drive but it was also available in front wheel drive. Body kits and rear spoilers were available; the Highway Star model featured standard moon roof, privacy glass and front and rear air conditioning. Black was the usual color for a Largo until 1995 when Nissan produced it in various shades of white and silver.
It was a popular MPV as vans came into popularity. It had a streamlined appearance and seated seven with reclining seats, making it perfect for families or parents who provided transportation to several children to and from activities. It was actually a Nissan Serena, Vanette Serena and a Largo, as Nissan make just one vehicle but gave it many different names and altered its appearance just a bit in each model.
The Largo was by and large a reliable van with relatively few faults. There are still a large number of them in use in Japan. If youre thinking of buying a used Largo (theres no other kind!), youll just have to look for the normal things youd usually watch for in a used vehicle. Undue noises or excessive smoke, of course, are warning signs that the van hasnt been treated well and probably not maintained, either. Parts are still available from Nissan or from used-parts lots without much trouble. The Largo wasnt known for mechanical problems and there are still many on the used markets today.
