Manufactured by the Japanese automobile manufacturer, Nissan, the Pulsar debuted in 1978 as a compact family car. Although, the initial models were front wheel drive, further developments witnessed the car turning into the turbo powered four-wheel drive car.
Even in face of severe competition, the Pulsar has always held out on its own, due to the force of sheer credibility combined with efficiency. So it really did not surprise automotive buffs that even the latest Pulsar N16, follows the footsteps as that of its predecessors in terms of generating goodwill and popularity.
The GTI-R or the ‘Sunny’ was a very popular model of the Pulsar in the 1990s, especially in Europe. With a particularly modest structure, their engines were every bit tough and reliable on the road and went up to 150 mph easily, taking around 4.9 seconds to reach the 60 mph mark. The clutch and suspension too did a magnificent job, especially on the standard versions and so did the brakes. The seats were firm and comfortable but the interior was pretty ordinary with its routine embellishments.
