Nissan Skyline
Originally manufactured by the Prince Motor Company (1957), and later on by Nissan (1966) after a merger, the Skyline is a mid-sized car available in the coupe, sedan or wagon style. A really admirable Japanese sports vehicle, nicknamed the Godzilla, the Skyline has maintained its supremacy for well over 45 years, earning a few well deserved awards too on its way.
Although, in between, it stopped production for a gap of about ten years, 1989, it re-emerged strongly with the new GT-R Skyline which acquired a great repute as something of a potent racing car due to its impressive all-wheel steering, four wheel drive, and ceramic turbochargers which gave an output of 280 hp (206 kW) at 6800 rpm. In fact, the GT-R emerged winner in the Group-A category of the Japanese Touring car championship which caused it to be named the Japan GT car series.
